Fake redhead wins Miss USA
Miss California (who is Miss California only because she couldn’t win in New Jersey) is the new Miss USA, but:
Well known for her fiery auburn hair, she wasn’t born that way, having first changed her color six years ago for a role in a play. “It’s really brought out the true Alyssa Campanella, I feel,” she said. “And that’s why I really enjoy being a redhead.”
I guess it’s not really “cheating.” It’s a good bet a lot of those women are changing their hair color, one way or another. Still. There’s a lot more blondes in the world than redheads: would she have stood out to the judges as much as a blond, instead of a redhead?
Score one for Charles Darwin. The newly crowned Miss USA, Alyssa Campanella, 21, of Los Angeles, who calls herself “a huge science geek,” says evolution should be taught in public schools.
That’s funny, I thought evolution already was being taught in public schools.
