Everybody’s having a really awesome time noticing how President Obama’s bus was made in Canada…
…or noticing how there really are black helicopters swirling around wherever the president is (it helps keep the Paulistas away). But how has everybody missed the energy inefficiency of a vehicle like that? I don’t mean the size – hey, the president needs space and people – I mean the color. Black absorbs heat, thus requiring more air conditioning to make the interior comfortable.
A white bus would make more sense, environmentally speaking. Of course, that’s probably trivial, considering the sheer size and weight of the bus and its accompanying SUVs, helicopters, and whatnot. But still. Every little bit helps.
Oh, fine, it’s probably racist.

One more thing: why a uniformly pitch-black bus? No presidential logo or anything? Do they think they’re undercover?

Shouldn’t the thing be covered with solar cells? I know it wouldn’t move it very fast but it would still outrun the current economy. A couple manufacturers have been in the news filing bankruptcy lately. Should have put them to work.
Why is Obama’s bus so black?
Why won’t some other color do?

Why ain’t it purple, pink, or blue?
