A recent study in England found 352,000 households in which nobody had ever worked.
Holy crap. Should I be surprised? If by “England” Sowell means Great Britain, then that’s about 1.35% of British households.
I wonder how that compares to the U.S.

Can’t tell for sure without a linky-link to the study, but… In the UK they are pretty careful to distinguish the kingdoms. If they say England, it is that one. I wouldn’t assume it includes Scotland, Wales etc.
I could be wrong though, as happens several times a day.
