I remember those dark pre-internet days…

That’s via John Hawkins’ new website, The Looking Spoon, which I believe he named after watching a “Tick” marathon with a short break for Alice in Wonderland.

I remember having a long debate in college about what the main religion in India was. We finally called somebody in some department somewhere who told us the answer. And then the day we couldn’t think of who wrote “To Kill a Mockingbird.” We finally called the library and asked a moderately annoyed receptionist, who found us the answer.

Ah, the memories we’d have lost, had google existed at the time.
