The Department of Redundancy Department, Lingerie Football-style

Okay: so I noticed I’m getting some traffic from people searching for Angela Rypien, daughter of Superbowl MVP Mark Rypien, who is now playing QB for the Lingerie Football League’s Seattle Mist.

That is, Angela is playing for the Seattle Mist. Not Mark.

So I went ahead and googled her myself, just to see where the hits were coming from. Not trolling for pictures, you understand. No sir. And I found her facebook page. There, I found the Seattle Mist’s facebook page. There, I found this:

A Lingerie Football League fantasy league? They have fantasy football for the Lingerie Football League?

How do they deal with the rampant redundancy?

One more thing: the Seattle Mist’s quarterback last season was Laurel Creel. Hometown: Wasilla, Alaska. She’s listed as 24 years old on the Mist’s website – which doesn’t appear to have been updated since last season. That would make her 25, and a few years older than Track Palin.

What are the odds Track did some wistful staring at the unobtainable upperclassman during his freshman year of high school?

UPDATE - Creel is, I take it, back with the Seattle Mist, possibly setting up a quarterback controversy! And let’s face it, Seattle doesn’t have a whole lot of other choices, football-wise, so this might be a big story.
