Thank you, Pink Slip Guy, for your contributions to the conservative cause in Wisconsin!

Well, the Great Wisconsin Pink Slip Auction of 2011 is officially over, and thanks to one generous (if annoying and immature) liberal protester, Wisconsin Republicans are $255 richer than they would have been otherwise.

A tiny drop in an otherwise overflowing bucket? Maybe. But no matter the size of your contribution, you ridiculous beer-abusing joke, we appreciate it!

We also appreciate the person who won the auction and is the proud new owner of that now-(sorta)-famous pink slip. I happen to know who that person is, but will let him/her announce it and what he/she plans to do with it in his/her own good time and manner, if he/she chooses to do so.

If I have one regret, it was that I was unable to generate greater interest in this story around the Greater Blogosphere. But perhaps good will even come of that, if it leads me to re-examine and, hopefully, improve my tactics.
