It’s almost like PETA wants to be ridiculed. Almost like…say, could PETA really be a pro-meat infiltrator?

September 29, 2011

I mean, come on:

Is this chicken too sexy? PETA thinks so.

This one:

Sex-ayyyy!

The “pin-up” style photo of a raw chicken lounging seductively ran in Wednesday’s food section of the New York Times along with a story on the appeal of crispy, savory chicken skin. Now the animal cruelty prevention organization is aiming their laser-beam target at the old gray lady.

“When I saw it I just couldn’t believe that an editor of The New York Times would find it acceptable,” PETA’s founder and president Ingrid Newkirk told The Atlantic Wire. “It’s downright offensive, not just to people who care about animals but almost to everyone. It’s a plucked, beheaded, young chicken in a young pose,” she said.

What the hell does she mean by that? She eats her chicken with the feathers and the heads on them?

Is this woman seriously worried about the dignity of a chicken?

Even other liberals have to be averting their eyes at this nonsense. Don’t they? Hey, liberals: really?

Come on, Ingrid! Admit it! You’re not really a liberal – you’re a conservative plant, send there to make liberals look ridiculous.

Although now that I’ve written that…liberals don’t need all that much help in that department, do they. So this is…well, I guess it must be sincere.

Stunned silence will now ensue.
