Disappointment of the day: “Hot Chicks of Occupy Wall Street.”

Donald Douglas points us to a new website: Hot Chicks of Occupy Wall Street.

Who the heck are these guys?

A lot of fantastic media has been created about the “Occupy” movement. I was watching one video in particular and commented to a friend, “Wow, seeing all those super smart hot chicks at the protest makes me want to be there.” He replied, “Hmmm… Yeah, let’s go with that.”

We instantly went to Tumblr and made hotchicksofoccupywallstreet.tumblr.com.

It’s basically a couple dozen photographs of women who are, purportedly, taking part in – or just in the vicinity of – the Occupy Wall Street protests.

What an utter disappointment.

I’m not saying the women included are ugly – they’re not. Quite attractive, mostly. But “hot?” Some, maybe. Most, no. In fact, the most attractive woman pictured at the site is a cop (see above). How does she even count as a “chick of Occupy Wall Street?”

Not to mention: why aren’t feminists finding these guys who made this website and beating them to bloody pulps? “Hot chicks?” What are you, man, some kind of paternalist oppressor?
