January 10, 2012: the day The Other McCain stops linking The Trog?

Why, you ask? What could possibly cause anyone to stop linking The Trog?

Here’s a guess as to who will play in the five BCS games.

Title game, Jan. 9: Alabama-Wisconsin.

That’s Mike Huguenin, Rivals.com’s college football editor, wildly speculating based on the season’s first released BCS rankings. Who’ll play for this year’s national championship game? He thinks maybe ‘Bama and the Badgers, which means: as of January 10 – the day after the game – we here at The TrogloPundit will have received our last linkage at The Other McCain.

Sour grapes? No. Them there grapes’ll be utterly rancid.

Unless, of course, co-bloggers Smitty and Wombat have the autonomy to blog as they like, and never mind blogfounder Stacy’s understandable-but-misdirected anger and bitterness.

We shall see.

UPDATE – okay, fine, so that’s just one sportswriter’s opinion on the title game. Ask me, the winners of LSU-Alabama and Oklahoma-Oklahoma St. will be playing on January 9. Unless, of course, one or more of those teams loses a game they should have won, in which case… Wisconsin vs. Boise St.!
