“As Cain Promotes His Management Skills, Ex-Aides Tell of Campaign in Chaos”

October 27, 2011

That’s the headline on this New York Times hit piece.

If Herman Cain feels his management skills are up to any challenge, some of his former staff members think he should have started with the disorder in his own campaign.

Sheesh. Anybody who’s worked on a political campaign – even a state legislative campaign – knows: campaigns are always chaos. They always look disorganized. Keeping up with the 24-hour news cycle while dealing with the thousand hourly details of a hard-charging political campaign?

You try it, and see how organized you look.

Saying a big-time political campaign is “in chaos” is like saying an Occupy Wall Street regular is “in filth.” It goes without saying.
