…in binary. And that’s the last one of these posts for the next 32,194 days!
Added bonus: a six-digit palindrome! Not quite as cool as an eight-digit palindrome, but, fer cry-eye. You can’t have everything.
Only 3,006 days until the next one of those, by the way.
Here’s the important question today: when the clock hits 11:11:11 today (which it will do twice), can we legitimately say that it’s 63 o’clock on 63? I’m guessing that we can.
Alternately, I wonder if we could just call it 4,091 4,095. That’s binary for 111111111111.
Er, wait, no: that’s not binary for, it’s the translation of the binary number 111111111111. Which leads me to realize: I don’t know what our number system is called. Standard? Yeah, I know it’s base-10, but you don’t go around calling it that. Because that would make you a nerd.
I guess it doesn’t really need a name, huh? It’s just how we count.
Anyway, I’ve got my calendar set to remind me of the next eight-digit palindromic day and the next binary day. See you then!
