This is our 5,000th post here at The Trog…

…and I’m just a little freaked out by that. See, the very first post went up here on February 13, 2009.

Why, yes, that means our second third blogiversary is only five weeks away. Thanks for noticing.

But. According to this, that means TrogloPundit’s been around for 693 1059 days. And 5,000 posts, divided by 693 days…

…that’s a little over 7 nearly 5 posts a day.

Seven Five posts a day? Holy crap. What am I, obsessed or something?

I swear, blogging is like crack.

Note: while I have written and posted the vast majority of posts here at The Trog, we must also acknowledge the excellent additions made by Grandpa Steve (read all his posts) and Mister Pterodactyl (read all his posts), who fill in for me those times when I am otherwise unavailable. If not for them, according to our average, we would not have reached this milestone for another…eleven sixteen days.

UPDATE - Thanks to Fishersville Mike for pointing out my calendar error. The Trog began in 2009, which means my third blogiversary is coming up, and it’s been 1059 days, not 693, to 5,000 posts.

Which is slightly less obsessive than 693.
