I knew it! Miss America lost us the game!

Earlier this week, I blamed Miss Wisconsin America Laura Kaeppeler for Green Bay’s playoff loss to the Giants:

That’s Miss Wisconsin Laura Kaeppeler, being crowned Miss America yesterday. The Packers lost in the first round of the playoffs the last time a Wisconsinite won the Miss America pageant, too.

So I blame that.

Naturally, I was only joking. But lo and behold:

It turns out that Aaron Rodgers was watching the Miss America pageant on Saturday night, and heard about Miss Wisconsin/Miss America Laura Kaeppeler asking him to call her. While relaxing at the Green Bay Packers’ team hotel the night before his team lost to the Giants, Rodgers said that he was watching Saturday’s AFC playoff game when he received texts about Kaeppeler saying, “Call me, Aaron Rodgers,” when she was introduced…

How could Rodgers be expected to concentrate on the game when Laura Kaeppeler was flirting with him on national TV?
