I first used “acromegalic” in a blog post when describing the 6-foot-something Meghan McArdle. My posts about her were always illustrated by the poster art for the bad sci-fi classic, “Attack of the 50 FootWoman.”
She evidently wasn’t amused. Never linked me, so who needs her anyway, huh?
