Who’ll be the first candidate to woo the “invalid or inaccurate” demographic?
Because you could win a few elections with those guys:
A new report by the Pew Center on the States finds that more than 1.8 million dead people are currently registered to vote. And 24 million registrations are either invalid or inaccurate.
There’s little evidence that this has led to widespread voter fraud, but it has raised concerns that the system is vulnerable.
Ann Althouse agrees with that last statement:
This doesn’t mean anyone actually votes in their name, just that the names are in the registries.
True! But why risk it, especially when it’s so easy to avoid? Simply requiring some kind of proof that the person voting is the same person as the person whose name appears on the registry is such an easy way to be sure!
