Couple pictures from those Colorado wildfires

Those are basically piles of ash that used to be houses, except for those four in the upper right corner, which seem to be untouched. That’s gotta be some deeply mixed feelings: being one of the only houses that didn’t burn down. Talk about survivor’s guilt.
Here’s another view:
I guess that’d make me feel a little better, having all those other houses nearby. Weird, though. What makes the fire stop right there? Could it not cross the street?
