Hey, did you know that The Trog interviewed Congressman Paul Ryan at the 2008 Republican National Convention?

No? Well you’re in luck! Because I’ve still got the video! Note that any laughter and applause you hear is due to Michael Steele speaking in a room nearby.

Here, Ryan’s talking about what life under Democrat majorities was like back then:

I was trying to be clever with that first question. Trying and failing. The “young guns of the GOP” meme had just started at the time. This is the picture I was referring to:

This was interesting: Ryan compares the most recent (at the time) Vice President picks, Cheney and Palin:

That’s actually the very beginning of the recording. I was kinda hoping some of Ryan’s calm and cool might radiate over onto me, but, nope. Or maybe yes: maybe I’d have looked even dorkier otherwise.
