“I chose him not by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character.”

October 10, 2012

That’s actress Stacey Dash, explaining why she endorsed Mitt Romney on twitter the other day. Dash is, as I just mentioned, an actress; also female (despite the first name) and black. Thus, there was some…oh, let’s call it negative feedback to her endorsement.

She talked to CNN’s Piers Morgan about that:

Dash’s Martin Luther King moment comes at right around the 1:38 mark. Word. Morgan then goes on to ask her What It All Means – a meandering kind of question, which leads to a meandering, silly, I’ve never really thought about this kind of answer, until Dash lands on:

“…demonizing someone for achieving the American dream is unfair.”

She may have just happened on that little tidbit by accident. Still. Word.

UPDATE – Candace Cameron, who played one of the kids on the TV show “Full House” years ago, is also supporting Romney. At least, according to this tweet.

These aren’t exactly your AAA-list Hollywood stars, of course, but… I wonder if Clint Eastwood’s RNC speech is helping bring Republican voters out of the Hollywood woodwork today?
