Bilbo Baggins was celebrating his eleventy-first birthday in the beginning of Lord of the Rings – he was 111. Not sure how you count it after you get past eleventy-nine, though. Twelvety-first?
It was actually Tolkien’s birthday yesterday. He still doesn’t look a day over twelvety-ten.
