Well who wouldn’t want to visit a magical island where tiny horses wear clothes?
I mean, look at them:
They’re adorable!
That’s a publicity still from the latest ad campaign from… can you guess?
After a rough couple of millennia, Scotland has figured out how to make itself look good to the rest of the world: Just put a couple of Shetland ponies in lovely cardigan sweaters. The folks at VisitScotland got two such ponies, named Fivla and Vitamin…
What great names!
…wrapped them in Shetland knitter Doreen Brown’s finest extra-large jumpers…
I’m sure that means she knitted the sweaters, not that they were her sweaters.
…and had them photographed by Rob McDougall. The results, you’ll agree, are indescribably good.
Indeed, although the actual commercial might have been better:
The question is: what demographic are they going after, here? The “oh aren’t they cute” demographic? The “I want one” demographic? Or maybe the “ah, what the hell” demographic?
Additional question: will they begin selling those sweaters online, and could you get one that was worn by Fivla or Vitamin for a small extra charge?

Could be a commercial for an employment agency. “You think you have a crummy job? How would you like to put sweaters on Shetland ponies???”
